Em seis anos de acompanhamento, os pesquisadores encontraram 2609 casos de c\u00e2ncer de intestino, em um banco de dados de mais de meio milh\u00e3o de pacientes.<br>Comer 3 fatias de bacon ao dia sozinho respondeu por um aumento de 20% no risco.<br>Para cada 10 mil pessoas que comiam mais de 21 gramas de carne vermelha e processada por dia, 40 tiveram cancer de intestino. Quem comia ate 76g, o risco era de 48 em 10000.
