No Livro de Mateus, cap\u00edtulo 18, est\u00e1 a c\u00e9lebre passagem:&nbsp;\u201cEnt\u00e3o Pedro se aproximou dele e disse: Senhor, quantas vezes devo perdoar a meu irm\u00e3o, quando ele pecar contra mim? At\u00e9 sete vezes? Respondeu Jesus: N\u00e3o te digo at\u00e9 sete vezes, mas at\u00e9 setenta vezes sete\u201d. Ser\u00e1 que encontramos algum respaldo na ci\u00eancia de tamanho ensinamento?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vamos l\u00e1. Primeiro vamos falar dos efeitos danosos de n\u00e3o perdoar, ou seja, de guardar m\u00e1goa de pessoas, de acontecimentos ruins na nossa vida ou at\u00e9 mesmo de nossos pr\u00f3prios erros.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ela interfere nos sistemas hormonal e imunol\u00f3gico.Pessoas magoadas disparam no corpo uma rea\u00e7\u00e3o chamada reflexo de fuga-ou-luta, que aumenta a quantidade de adrenalina e de cortisol (o hormonio do estresse). Isso leva a aumento de press\u00e3o arterial, de frequ\u00eancia card\u00edaca e do risco de morrer do cora\u00e7\u00e3o. O excesso de cortisol, cronicamente, tamb\u00e9m pode levar a diabetes e aumenta obesidade (sim, amargura leva a aumento de peso, acredite!). Al\u00e9m disso, no longo prazo isso leva a altera\u00e7\u00f5es no sistema imune, aumenta risco de doen\u00e7as reumatol\u00f3gicas e at\u00e9 de certos tipos de c\u00e2ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E o perd\u00e3o? Tem benef\u00edcio para nossa sa\u00fade? Um estudo de 2011 do&nbsp;<em>Journal fo Behavioral Medicine&nbsp;<\/em>mostrou que pessoas que praticam perd\u00e3o incondicional tem menor propens\u00e3o a morrer mais cedo do que indiv\u00edduos que n\u00e3o perdoam ou que precisam que o ofensor pe\u00e7a desculpas ou prometa n\u00e3o cometer mais o erro. Se a m\u00e1goa ativa a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de adrenalina na circula\u00e7\u00e3o, o perd\u00e3o, por outro lado, diminui sua atividade e, por consequ\u00eancia, a press\u00e3o arterial. O perd\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m esteve relacionado, em diversos estudos, com melhora de qualidade do sono, da disposi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica e diminui\u00e7\u00e3o de risco de depress\u00e3o. Nosso sistema imunol\u00f3gico tamb\u00e9m se beneficia do perd\u00e3o. Um estudo com pacientes portadores de HIV, por exemplo, mostrou que aqueles mais inclinados ao perd\u00e3o, tinham atividade melhor das c\u00e9lulas de defesa (os linf\u00f3citos CD4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ou seja, existe grande&nbsp;benef\u00edcio da pr\u00e1tica do perd\u00e3o para sua sa\u00fade f\u00edsica e para o bem-estar emocional. Perdoar-se e perdoar aos que nos&nbsp;&nbsp;rodeiam aumenta a longevidade e&nbsp;nos torna mais felizes e realizados. Que tal come\u00e7ar?
